I have a story about this painting. okay so when I was a little kid maybe I was 5 or 6, I saw this painting. I asked my mom why people painted others naked, and she said it was because it was beautiful. I asked her why it was beautiful and she said I would understand when I was older. Then I asked her why if naked people were beautiful, why we didn’t see them on TV, and she said it was because some people were sensitive about their own bodies and therefore don’t want to see others. Then she told me something pretty crazy for a five-year-old to hear: life is art, everything is art. and you don’t censor art. I think that’s why I don’t understand why music is censored because we usually don’t censor “beautiful” paintings. Sorry I’m rambling now. Okay bye.
